As of February 2026, China has cumulatively obtained more than 150 patents related to ultra-pure iron. Shanghai University and its cooperating enterprises jointly hold 42 core patents, achieving full chain self-control. This also brings new opportunities for the domestic manufacturing of the Soft Magnetic Iron Cores for Relays. Domestic ultra-pure iron has been applied to domestic lithography machines, compatible with 7-nanometer and below processes, performing better than imports, and has passed the tests of China Aviation Engine Bearings, improving the fatigue life of components.
