Copper busbars are core conductive components used for high-current transmission and electrical connections; they play a vital role in collecting and distributing current within power distribution systems, new energy equipment, and industrial power infrastructures. While "electrical copper busbar" typically refers to standard busbars for electrical applications and "Cu busbar" is a common shorthand in engineering contexts, both essentially consist of highly conductive copper-based conductor structures.

In new energy vehicles and energy storage systems, busbars not only facilitate electrical connections between battery cells but also enable the configuration of series-parallel circuits and the integration of signal sensing. For instance, battery busbar connectors are commonly used to link power battery modules, whereas copper busbars designed for prismatic cells provide structured connections that ensure stability and consistency within the battery pack under high-current operating conditions.
Structurally, copper busbars can be categorized by cross-sectional shape and application, encompassing rectangular, circular, and custom-profile designs. Copper ground busbars are typically employed in equipment grounding systems, while bent copper busbars-which have undergone forming processes-are suitable for electrical installations where space is limited, or the structural layout is complex.
Regarding materials, high-performance busbars are generally manufactured from high-purity conductive materials. Electrolytic copper busbars, prized for their purity and stable conductivity, are widely used in high-end electrical and new energy systems to ensure low resistance and efficient current transmission.

Manufacturing typically involves multiple processes, such as stamping, bending, and welding. Bending is a critical forming step; the use of precision molds allows for the stable creation of complex angles and shapes, thereby meeting the assembly requirements of diverse electrical systems.
In electrical system applications, copper busbars serve not only in power transmission but also extensively in grounding system designs. Copper ground busbars often form the main grounding structure for equipment, while electrical ground busbars facilitate unified grounding distribution within electrical cabinets and power distribution systems.

Specialized variants include isolated ground busbars, which help minimize interference risks, and telecom ground busbars, designed for low-noise grounding in telecommunications and base station systems; additionally, Chatsworth ground busbars serve as a standard reference design for cabinet grounding solutions. In high-current industrial applications, copper power bars are commonly used in high-power equipment and energy distribution systems; their low impedance and high current-carrying capacity make them suitable for power transmission in demanding operating environments.
In new energy vehicles and high-density energy storage systems, copper bus bar connectors for prismatic lithium battery cells facilitate highly reliable connections between cells, enabling stable current output and effective thermal management under high energy density conditions, thereby further enhancing the system's overall safety and efficiency.
