Silver Brazed Electrical Contacts
Products Description

In modern electrical equipment, rail transportation, power switchgear, and industrial control systems, Silver Brazed Electrical Contacts are core components ensuring stable equipment operation, improving conductivity, and extending service life. As a composite contact that firmly bonds a silver-based alloy to a conductive substrate through a high-temperature brazing process, it not only excels in electrical performance but also far surpasses ordinary welded or riveted contacts in mechanical strength, arc erosion resistance, and weld resistance.
Superior Mechanical Properties
High Bond Strength
The brazed joints formed through the Furnace Brazing process have high strength, typically exceeding 200 MPa, ensuring that the Custom Electrical Contact Components do not crack or detach under operational vibration and mechanical impact.
01
Good Fatigue Resistance
In switching equipment with frequent operation (such as tens of thousands or even millions of mechanical cycles), AgCu Contact Assemblies for Switchgear can withstand repeated mechanical stresses, maintaining structural integrity and functional reliability.
02
Excellent Wear Resistance
The contact surface has moderate hardness, resulting in a low wear rate when mated with the matching material. Combined with the self-lubricating properties of the silver alloy, it reduces the coefficient of friction and extends mechanical life.
03
Machinability and Compatibility
Furnace Brazing contacts can be precision-machined to achieve accurate dimensions through turning, grinding, and other finishing processes, facilitating assembly with various switching mechanisms and achieving good contact pressure and alignment.

Industry Solutions
Choose the plan that suits you best.
Silver-Copper Alloy (AgCu) Series
The most commonly used brazing filler metal possesses excellent flowability, wettability, and comprehensive mechanical properties. We can also provide silver-based brazing filler metals containing small amounts of zinc, tin, and nickel to adjust melting points, improve spreadability, and enhance the toughness or corrosion resistance of Brazed Electrical Contacts.
01
Bonus Forms and Pre-placement
According to the structure of Custom Electrical Contact Components, we provide different forms of filler metals such as wire, sheet, paste (containing flux), etc., and precisely preposition them in the welding gap to ensure uniform filling after the filler metal melts and forms a dense weld seam.
02
Cadmium-Free Environmentally Friendly Brazing Alloys
To comply with environmental protection directives such as RoHS and REACH, we have developed and applied cadmium-free silver brazing filler metals, which maintain excellent brazing performance while avoiding the harm of toxic substances to the environment and health.
03
Customized Brazing Alloy Formulations
For special base materials (such as stainless steel, Kovar alloy) or special performance requirements (such as high vacuum applications), we can collaborate with material suppliers to develop customized solders to ensure the welding quality of AgCu Contact Assemblies for Switchgear
