Silver Rivet Contact

Silver Rivet Contact

In today's highly automated industrial landscape, the reliability of every electrical connection is directly related to equipment lifespan, system stability, and production safety. Silver Rivet Contact is more than just a simple component; it's the core of an electrical connection system that integrates cutting-edge materials science and precision manufacturing. By firmly bonding a high-purity silver contact head to a copper or copper alloy substrate, it achieves an optimal balance of conductivity, arc resistance, and cost-effectiveness. It is an indispensable key component in circuit breakers, contactors, relays, industrial switches, and various low-voltage electrical appliances.

Products Description

Silver Rivet Contact

Silver Rivet Contacts are electrical contact components made by tightly bonding silver or a silver-based alloy to a base material such as copper, brass, or stainless steel through cold or hot riveting. As an essential core component in low-voltage electrical equipment, relays, contactors, switches, circuit breakers, automotive electronics, household appliances, and new energy electronic control systems, silver riveted composite contacts offer excellent conductivity, weld resistance, and affordability, making them an ideal, cost-effective choice.

Product Structure and Process Features

Silver-riveted composite contacts are primarily classified into the following structural forms:

Single Rivet Contact
The silver layer is bonded to a metal substrate on one side, suitable for low-current applications with single-sided conduction.

Double Rivet Contact
The silver layer is evenly distributed on both ends, meeting bidirectional conduction and high-frequency switching requirements. It is commonly used in relays and microswitches.

Bimetal Rivet Contact
Using a composite structure of a silver-based alloy (AgNi, AgCdO, AgSnO₂, AgCuO, etc.) and a copper substrate, it combines high wear resistance with low resistance.

Multilayer Rivet Contact
A transition layer (such as Ni, CuNi, etc.) is added between the silver layer and the substrate to improve solderability and electromigration resistance. It is commonly used in new energy contactors and automotive high-voltage relays.

During production, Apollo Electronic Components (Xiamen) Co., Ltd. uses high-precision automated riveting equipment to ensure concentricity and bond strength between the silver cap and the substrate. The company's proprietary molds and cold extrusion technology effectively control silver consumption, ensuring batch consistency and cost competitiveness.
