Working Principle and Technical Mechanism

Multi-strand Current Splitting and Skin Effect Optimization

 

In AC or pulsed current transmission, current tends to flow on the conductor surface (skin effect). Copper Braid for Relay Applications consists of hundreds of fine copper wires, with a total surface area much larger than a solid copper rod of the same cross-sectional area. This structure significantly reduces AC resistance and improves current-carrying efficiency. Simultaneously, the braided structure creates a mesh-like current path, enhancing the conductor's resistance to the skin effect.

Mechanical Stress Absorption Mechanism

 

Magnetic latching relays generate minute mechanical displacements and vibrations during operation. Solid wires cannot absorb these displacements, easily leading to solder joint breakage.
