Copper Slip Cap

Copper Slip Cap is a precision metal end-capping and functional enhancement component designed specifically for cylindrical components such as cylindrical lithium batteries, capacitors, and high-voltage connectors. This product is manufactured using high-copper-content environmentally friendly brass through precision stamping, deep drawing, and surface treatment processes. Its core structure is a thin-walled cup-shaped body, which, through precise inner diameter tolerance control, can be pressed or pushed into the end bore of the target cylindrical shell via interference fit or micro-clear clearance sliding fit. It is not merely a simple physical protective cover, but a multifunctional precision engineering component integrating current collection, axial force transmission, internal pressure buffering, sealing enhancement, and structural reinforcement.

 

Design Advantages

Optimized for Automated Assembly

 

The Copper End Cap Solder Fittings design considers pickup, positioning, and pressing on automated production lines. A specific chamfer at the opening guides alignment, and the shape design ensures reliable gripping by vacuum chucks or mechanical jaws.

Thermo-Mechanical Coupling Simulation Verification

 

During the design phase, we used finite element analysis to simulate the stress-strain distribution of the inner cap under the coupled effects of cell expansion force, external clamping force, and operating temperature rise. This optimized Tin Plated Copper End Caps' geometry to prevent fatigue failure caused by stress concentration and ensure stable performance across the entire operating temperature range (-40°C to +85°C).

Multifunctional Integrated Design

 

Features such as positioning bosses, welding bumps, and venting micropores (to balance internal and external air pressure) can be integrated into the Copper Cap High Pressure OEM, achieving multiple uses and reducing the number of parts.

Production Process

 

Raw Material Acceptance

H65 brass strip for Copper Pressure Tube Cap Fitting conforming to GB/T 5231-2012 standard is strictly selected.

Rough Turning

The outer diameter of the Copper Cap High Pressure OEM is turned using a CNC lathe to form the outer contour.

Internal Hole Machining

Precision drilling and boring processes are used to ensure the radial accuracy of the tin-plated copper end caps' inner hole.

Hardness Adjustment

For different applications for Copper Cap (press fitting vs. conductivity), heat treatment or tempering is performed to adjust the Vickers hardness to 150-180 HV.

Lead-Free Cleaning

An environmentally friendly acidic cleaning solution is used for surface treatment to ensure no lead residue on Copper End Cap Solder Fittings.
