Copper BusBar Powder Coating

Copper BusBar Powder Coating

Copper BusBar Powder Coating are electrical conductive connectors manufactured using a tin-plated copper substrate, featuring a red insulating coating applied to the surface via a specialized electrostatic powder-dipping process. Primarily utilized for conductive circuit connections within various types of electrical equipment where insulation and isolation are required, these busbars are ideally suited for wiring applications in both high- and low-voltage power distribution systems, effectively fulfilling the dual functions of current transmission and insulation protection.

Products Description

Copper BusBar Powder Coating

Copper BusBar Powder Coating are electrical connection components that integrate highly efficient conductivity with robust insulating protection, specifically designed to meet the isolation requirements of high- and low-voltage power distribution systems. By electrostatically applying and curing a layer of red insulating powder onto a tin-plated copper substrate, these busbars enable safe and reliable circuit connections within compact spaces, effectively serving as a replacement for the traditional "copper busbar plus insulating sheet" assembly method.

Material Composition

Copper Base Material

Crafted from high-quality pure copper, this core component is designed for efficient current transmission. It features stable conductivity, excellent ductility, high mechanical strength, and superior fatigue resistance. Epoxy Spray Copper Bus Bar can be precision-machined into various specifications to meet the diverse current transmission requirements of both high- and low-voltage power distribution systems.

Tin Plating Material

Epoxy Powder Coated Busbars utilize high-purity tin, the primary function of this layer is to prevent oxidation. It forms a dense, protective barrier that bonds tightly with the copper base, effectively isolating corrosive agents and preventing the copper substrate from oxidizing. This ensures the stable conductivity of the copper busbar, thereby preventing issues such as poor electrical contact and overheating.

Insulating Powder Coating

This layer employs an eco-friendly red insulating powder, serving the dual core functions of providing electrical insulation and facilitating circuit identification. Insulated Copper Bus Bar offers excellent insulating properties, aging resistance, and adhesion. Applied to the tin-plated copper surface via an electrostatic powder coating process, it strikes a balance between safety and ease of maintenance, while fully complying with environmental regulatory requirements.

Advantages of Customized Design

Versatile Shape Adaptability

Supports a wide range of geometric configurations, including L-shaped, Z-shaped, U-shaped, and flat punched profiles. For complex Epoxy Powder Coating Insulated Copper Busbar
, uniform coating can be achieved provided that the electrostatic spray gun is able to reach the primary surfaces.

Selective Insulation Design

Through a masking process (utilizing high-temperature-resistant tape or silicone sleeves), specific conductive areas-such as Busbar Insulation Paint ends or connection holes-can be left exposed to facilitate bolted or plug-in connections. Masking precision can reach ±1 mm.

Multi-Color Management

In addition to red, other colors-such as yellow, green, black, and blue-are available upon customer request to distinguish between different voltage levels or phase sequences for Insulating Coatings Busbar. Color specifications are based on the RAL color chart or color samples provided by the customer.

Quality Assurance

Insulation Performance Testing:

  • Withstand Voltage Test: Each Epoxy Spray Copper Bus Bar unit-or a selected sample-undergoes either a power-frequency AC withstand voltage test or a DC withstand voltage test. Under the specified voltage (e.g., 2 times the rated voltage plus 1000V), no dielectric breakdown or flashover shall occur.

  • Insulation Resistance Test: Measurement of both the surface resistance and volume resistance of the coating.

Adhesion Testing:

  • Cross-Cut Adhesion Test: A specialized cutting tool is used to scribe a grid pattern onto the coating surface. Adhesive tape is then applied and rapidly peeled away; the adhesion rating is determined based on the area of coating detachment (typically requiring a rating of Grade 0 or Grade 1-indicating either no detachment or negligible detachment).

  • Bend Test: The sample is bent around an axis of a specific diameter to inspect whether the coating of Epoxy Powder Coated Busbars cracks or peels.
