Tin Coated Copper BusBar

Tin Coated Copper BusBar

Tin Coated Copper BusBars, also known as tin-plated busbars, are core components for high-performance electrical connections, widely used in new energy, rail transportation, industrial control, frequency converters, and energy storage systems. Compared to ordinary copper busbars, tin-plated copper busbars have a uniform tin layer on their surface, which not only effectively inhibits oxidation and corrosion but also significantly improves weldability and reliability, providing a stable and long-term conductivity solution for high-density electrical systems. Their dark, natural color is not only aesthetically pleasing and simple but also facilitates welding and subsequent processing, combining functionality and ease of operation.

Products Description

This product is a composite conductor component (Tin Coated Copper BusBar) specifically designed for power transmission and distribution scenarios. Its core function is to achieve both high-conductivity, oxygen-free copper substrate for efficient power transmission and a dense tin plating layer for corrosion resistance and easy soldering. It undertakes high-current transmission tasks in power distribution systems, industrial equipment, and new energy devices. It leverages copper's excellent conductivity to reduce transmission losses while the tin layer isolates it from air and moisture, addressing the industry pain points of pure copper busbars such as easy oxidation and difficult soldering. Its essential value lies in its synergistic approach to conductivity and corrosion resistance, adaptability to soldering and assembly, and balance of strength and flexibility. It provides an integrated solution of standardized mass supply and customized specifications for high and low voltage switchgear, photovoltaic inverters, energy storage systems, and industrial automation equipment, meeting both the stringent requirements of power systems for transmission efficiency and the practical ease of engineering assembly.

Tin Coated Copper BusBar
Product Features

Superior Conductivity

Copper itself possesses excellent electrical conductivity, enabling the Busbar Coating to carry high currents while maintaining low resistance. The tin plating layer ensures conductivity and effectively extends the product's lifespan in complex environments such as high humidity and salt spray.

01

Oxidation and Corrosion Resistance

The tin plating covering the copper surface resists air oxidation and chemical corrosion, reducing the risk of electrical system failures due to poor contact, thereby improving overall system reliability.

02

Solder-Friendly Design

Compared to bare copper, the tin-plated surface has lower soldering resistance and better wettability, making soldering processes more efficient and stable, reducing the possibility of cold solder joints or loose solder joints.

03

Size and Shape Flexibility

Products can be customised to meet customer needs, supporting various widths, thicknesses, and bending processes to adapt to different electrical equipment spatial layouts and structural design requirements.

04

Durability and Stability

Copper tinned busbars possess excellent mechanical strength and resistance to deformation, capable of withstanding thermal stress under high current operation for extended periods, ensuring stable power transmission.

Core Processing Flow

Tin Plating

The shaped copper material is fed into a continuous tin plating production line. Hot-dip tin plating or electroplating is used to evenly coat the surface with a tin layer, with the thickness controlled by an online thickness gauge (0.03-0.15mm).

Post-processing

After tin plating, cooling and passivation treatments are performed to enhance the corrosion resistance of the tin layer. The surface is then precision polished to remove burrs and pits, ensuring a uniform, dark grey finish.

Precision Machining

According to customer requirements, CNC bending, laser cutting, drilling, and other machining processes are performed, pre-drilling mounting holes and positioning slots to ensure installation compatibility.
